Eisenhower Earns "A" Grade

Eisenhower Health has received an ‘A’ in the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for Spring 2024. This national distinction recognizes Eisenhower Health’s achievements in protecting patients from harm and errors in the hospital.

“For our patients and their families, this ‘A’ grade signifies that they are receiving care from a facility that prioritizes their safety above all else,” says Martin Massiello, President and Chief Executive Officer, Eisenhower Health. “It provides them with peace of mind knowing that they are in capable hands and reinforces their trust in Eisenhower Health.”

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization with an over 10-year history of assigning letter grades to general hospitals throughout the United States, based on a hospital’s ability to prevent medical errors and harm to patients. 

Leapfrog’s grading system — A, B, C, D, or F — is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public. It is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day nationally. The grades are released twice each year and out of approximately 3,000 hospitals graded, only 29% received an A, underscoring the significance of this recognition for Eisenhower Health.
