Cognitive Behavorial Therapy for Insomnia

Do you lay awake staring at the ceiling? Are you constantly checking the clock to see what time it is? Do you start to worry if you are going to be able to sleep, even before getting into bed? This group may be right for you!

Living with insomnia is challenging, but there is an effective treatment that can help people fall asleep faster, stay sleep and feel more well rested during the day. This cognitive behavioral therapy group (CBT-1) is a short, structured and evidence-based approach to combat the frustrating symptoms of insomnia. CBT-1 has shown to be the most effective means of improving sleep - it has shown to be more effective that Ambien. CBT-1 requires you to be active in the process. This group requires completion of sleep journals, reading assigned chapters in a book on insomnia and actively joining in group discussions.

Ongoing six-week group therapy. Meets every Thursday, 10 to 11:30 a.m. 

Group therapy is covered by most insurance providers. Call for information.
