If you've found your way here today, take a deep breath. You're not alone, and the feelings you're experiencing around kink shame are both understandable and common.

Whether you're just starting your kink journey or have been exploring for years, shame can sneak in quietly and profoundly affect how you perceive yourself. During this panel discussion, let's talk honestly about where kink shame comes from, why it impacts us so deeply and, most importantly, how you can begin to heal. For many people, healing kink shame is the doorway through which the whole authentic self begins to breathe more freely.

Panel includes:

  • Lukmanafis O. Babajide, MD, Eisenhower Behavioral Health
  • James Barry, PsyD, LAADC, Drug & Alcohol Counselor
  • Melissa Hawkins, Betty Ford Center, a part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation

Presented in partnership with Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert as part of Leather Pride weekend.

  • All community members, nursing professionals, patient loved ones, patients, physicians are invited to participate.
