Christopher Di Simone, MD, PhD, is Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology seeing patients at the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center in Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs. He began his training with a solid scientific base with a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University, followed by a doctorate in biological chemistry at Cal Tech. He directed research at the Scripps Institute, San Diego, in virology and immunology before obtaining a medical degree at the University of California, Davis. He then completed his training with an internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Di Simone has been involved in clinical practice and clinical research for over 20 years. He believes strongly in patient autonomy and choice, with the physician providing education and options to those with difficult diseases. He has always been interested in providing patients with the best possible care for their cancer, by always improving therapies with the newest discoveries and medications.
