Aimmee Chin, MD, is Board Certified in Family Medicine Obstetrics, seeing patients at the Eisenhower George and Julia Argyros Health Center in La Quinta.
Dr. Chin earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed a residency program in family medicine at Eisenhower Health. She then completed a surgical obstetrics fellowship program at Clinica Medicos in association with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.
Dr. Chin originally pursued engineering, but was always drawn to the health sciences. When her father became seriously ill, she was inspired to pursue medicine. While in rotations during medical school, she became drawn to obstetrics, pediatrics and family medicine, gaining great satisfaction in the notion of establishing long-term relationships with patients and their families. She loved the joyous experience in delivering babies while in residency and thought that additional training in obstetrics would provide a more comprehensive aspect to practicing family medicine.
“A family medicine physician has the opportunity to know their patients throughout all the phases in their lifetime,” stated Dr. Chin. “I strive to know my patients, especially throughout their pregnancy and delivery, which allows me to be a better family physician taking care of families in its truest definition.”
