He received his medical degree from the University of Jordan. Dr. Tantawi earned his Master’s degree in Anatomy and Neuroscience from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
His residency in General Surgery was served at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Dr. Tantawi’s Plastic Surgery residency was at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Tantawi served our troops in the U.S. Army in active-duty and reserve capacities. He was deployed in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn in 2011, 2014 and 2015. He received multiple badges and awards. He remains a member of the U.S. Army Reserve Medical Corps.
