After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Park received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She then completed an internal medicine residency program at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and a fellowship program in cardiovascular diseases at UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Park always knew her career would involve working with and helping people. Interested in the sciences – especially human physiology - she pursued medicine, considering it the best investment to help make others lives better. While in medical school and residency, cardiology was the specialty that most interested Dr. Park. “I selected cardiology as my specialty because it was the most intensive, evolving field providing new research and procedures to help people regain their health,” states Dr. Park.
Dr. Park believes that patients can be their best advocate and she enjoys partnering with them to help achieve their health goals. “This occurs a lot over conversation,” reflects Dr. Park. “I listen to my patients. I want and need to understand their lifestyle, social and emotional needs, and why they are motivated to be healthy. This provides me with the information I need to make the best recommendations for treatment to my patients.”
