Zanita Kassam, MD

Zanita Kassam, MD, is a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, who returns to the Coachella Valley after years of experience in Northern California. She is seeing patients of all ages in Rancho Mirage. 
Dr Kassam is excited to provide a full complement of gynecological care, with special interests in minimally invasive surgery and Da Vinci Robotic surgery.

Always interested in medicine and sciences, Dr Kassam pursued a degree in health sciences in her undergraduate education, which underscored her desire to become a physician. She completed her residency training at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. Obstetrics and Gynecology is a specialty that appealed to Dr Kassam because of its diversity. “No day is the same,” states Dr Kassam. “I can deliver a baby in the morning and perform a complex Robotic procedure in the afternoon. I enjoy the variety of my profession and the fact that I can care for a woman thru her entire health journey. I am able to establish long-term and even life-long relationships with my patients.”

Dr Kassam focuses on patient – centered care. “My goal is that my patients feel heard and understood,” reflects Dr Kassam. “My role is to be an advocate for my patients and see myself as a guide for them and their health care.”
