Dr. Wilson is an accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon skilled in advanced techniques to treat surgical heart and lung condition. He has played an integral role in transforming Eisenhower’s Cardiac/Thoracic Surgical Program into a state-of-the-art center. All aspects of heart and lung surgery are performed at Eisenhower with special attention to minimally invasive techniques and robotic-directed procedures.
Dr. Wilson grew up in a rural area of northern Arkansas where his father practiced family medicine. He states, “My father taught me that knowledge and education can take you anywhere, but more importantly he show me the personal joy and satisfaction you receive from interacting with patients and families and assisting them to improve their health.” Dr. Wilson finds the practice of cardiothoracic surgery enormously rewarding and sees his role as education patients about their health issues and then guiding them to make appropriate informed choices regarding their care.
