Christopher V. Flores, MD

Christopher Flores, MD, is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is seeing patients with Eisenhower Primary Care Concierge program in Rancho Mirage. Dr. Flores has been a boutique fee-for-service physician for more than 15 years in the Coachella Valley.

After studying engineering at Stanford University, Dr. Flores completed his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He then completed the Family Medicine Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles. After residency, Dr. Flores worked with a traveling physicians group and traveled quite literally from one end of the country to the other — Maine to Hawaii — taking assignments in small towns that needed physicians. “This experience provided me with an understanding of how medicine works in smaller communities across the country,” states Dr. Flores.

After practicing in New Mexico for several years, he and his wife relocated back to California where they could be nearer to their families. Having had 13 years of physician experience, Dr. Flores felt confident in his understanding of what patients wanted from their primary care physician, so he established a concierge, fee-for-service private practice in the Coachella Valley. 

“As a child, I was heavily influenced by the old TV show “Marcus Welby, MD” and I became that kind of physician. I like the appeal of a small town doctor that makes house calls,” states Dr. Flores. “I see patients of all ages, make house visits, and visit patients in assisted living and nursing homes. Telemedicine has always been part of my practice. Joining the Eisenhower Primary Concierge program will provide me with additional resources and support to more effectively treat my patients.”

“My most important job as a physician is to listen to my patients.  Patients know their bodies and what they are feeling. My job is to help them translate their symptoms into a medical diagnosis – through blood work, imaging and testing, then together we plan out a course of treatment. Keeping patients well is the goal,”adds Dr. Flores.
