Danne McLain RN, MSN, is a board certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. Currently practicing at Eisenhower sleep center in Palm Desert. She sees new and follow-up patients with a variety of sleep disorders including insomnia and sleep apnea.
Danne received her undergraduate nursing degree from San Diego State University and worked in a variety of areas to include cardiovascular intensive care, open heart recovery team, cardiac electrophysiology, burn-trauma intensive care, emergency medicine and cardiac electrophysiology. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was program director for the Deep Brain Stimulator program at the University of Alabama along with seeing patients in the neurology and movement disorders clinic.
Danne’s passion for nursing began early as she volunteered as a candy striper at a local hospital while in high school in Thousand Oaks, California. She has over 30 years of nursing experience and loves her job as if it were her 1st day. She believes in patient directed care, practices with compassion, and is passionate about educating patients on the reasons behind their plan of care. She strives to know more about her patients in order to work together to develop individually tailored comprehensive care plans. As for her philosophy regarding sleep, she believes sleep is an essential cornerstone of good health.
