2027 Season Challenge

Help Us Save Lives When Every Second Counts

As our Valley’s population ages, demand for neurological care is rising. From stroke and traumatic brain injury to brain tumors and brain bleeds, patients increasingly require rapid diagnosis and specialized treatment. Eisenhower is expected to perform more than 20,000 Head CT Scans in 2026, and immediate access to advanced imaging will significantly improve outcomes.

Every minute a stroke goes untreated, two million brain cells die. It’s a devastating reality that makes stroke a leading cause of long-term disability and one of the top causes of death in the nation. A Siemens SOMATOM On.Site Portable Head CT Scanner in the Emergency Department would bring imaging directly to 75 patients a week, thousands of patients each year, giving physicians the clarity they need in moments that matter most. Immediate scans reveal whether a stroke is caused by a clot or a bleed, guiding lifesaving treatment without hesitation. Rapid diagnosis is the difference between recovery and irreversible damage.

For neurosurgeons and ICU teams, a secondary Scanner is equally critical. Operating room and bedside imaging in the ICU allows for fast detection of post-surgical complications like brain bleeds without moving fragile patients. Faster answers mean faster interventions, better outcomes, and more lives saved.

Eisenhower Health is committed to delivering comprehensive world-class neurosurgical care, and our Circle of Stars members are more energized than ever to help make it happen. This innovative technology enables physicians to perform high-quality brain imaging and critical treatment decisions across the hospital:

Emergency Department:

  • Rapid imaging for faster diagnosis, triage, or surgical intervention
  • Reduced transport time and improved coordination with care team
  • Increased access to imaging during peak volumes

Operating Room:

  • Real-time identification of bleeding, swelling, or surgical complications
  • Greater precision and safety, reducing infection risk
  • Improved efficiency and reduced demand on fixed CT scanners

Intensive Care Unit:

  • Bedside imaging for critically ill patients
  • Safer monitoring of stroke, hemorrhage, and traumatic brain injury
  • Faster efficiency and reduced demand on fixed CT scanners

Together, our gift equips our physicians with the tools needed to make more informed life changing decisions.
