Eisenhower offers preventive screenings such as screening mammograms and DEXA scans in our Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and La Quinta locations. We are continuing to provide diagnostic, biopsy and needle localization procedures at the Rancho Mirage location.

For your convenience, you may have your mammogram at the Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Centers at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center or in La Quinta at the Eisenhower George and Julia Argyros Health Center as well as the new Eisenhower Anne and Kirk Douglas Breast Center now open at the Eisenhower Health Center at Sunrise in Palm Springs. - State-of-the-art digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment designed specifically for a more comfortable exam is used at all three locations.

Coordinated and compassionate services are the cornerstone of our care. If a suspicious lump or thickening is detected, our breast health team is here for you every step of the way. Our Breast Nurse Specialist will help you understand your options and demystify the breast cancer treatment process. She'll also help coordinate any services you might need, such as breast cancer support groups or programs.
Eisenhower Health is proud to use the latest imaging technology at all of its locations, designed to provide higher quality 3D images for radiologists, a more comfortable mammography experience for patients and enhanced workflow for technologists. High resolution, low radiation mammograms provide excellent detection for patients with all types of breast tissue, particularly those with dense breasts. Unlike traditional digital mammography, breast tomosynthesis produces multiple exposures from different angles that offer a 3D view of the breast. The tomosynthesis mammogram has been found to reduce the frequency of patients being “called back” to the office to have follow up imaging to rule out concerns. To learn more, ask about the “Tomo” when you call for your appointment. Certain patients are not eligible for the Tomo based on pre-existing conditions; be sure to ask if it’s right for you. Most major insurance plans, including Medicare, provide coverage for this type of mammogram. Ask for more information when you make your appointment.
Eisenhower also uses Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography (CESM) which functions as an adjunctive test to an inconclusive mammogram or ultrasound.
Eisenhower is also a Breast Center of Excellence recognized by the American College of Radiology.
