Nursing Excellence
Eisenhower Health has a long tradition of nursing excellence. Based on a practice of safety, clinical excellence and compassionate care, Eisenhower nurses deliver nursing care from their hearts, their experience and their expertise.
Nursing is a unique profession — balancing clinical knowledge with human dignity; social work with pragmatism; and family dynamics with a clear mind. The demands of nursing are profound but the rewards of affecting, changing or saving a patient's life are equally transforming. Eisenhower nurses work incredibly hard to the find balance in each unique situation.
The ultimate goal of Eisenhower's nursing excellence is to achieve optimal patient outcomes through accountability, responsibility, collaboration and the professional development of each nurse. Supported by this framework, caring for our patients will continue to be a privilege.

Eisenhower Health has been a Magnet designated organization since 2015. Magnet designation is the highest attainable recognition for excellence in nursing care, and we are very proud of this achievement!
Being a magnet organization means that, in every setting, inpatient, procedural, and outpatient, nurses and advanced practice nurses strive to render excellent Relationship-Based Care. In a collaborative interprofessional practice model, nurses work with physicians, and many other members of the care team to improve patient outcomes across the continuum. Our shared decision-making environment encourages nurses to provide input and seek evidence-based solutions to nursing practice questions and concerns.
Eisenhower Health was named the “Best Hospital in California for Nurses” in 2017. We challenge you to discover the commitment, compassion and collaboration that characterizes Nursing at Eisenhower.
