Stress-Less for Cancer Patients and Survivors (on hiatus until January 2023)

  • Lucy Curci Cancer Center
  • Ongoing
  • From 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.

Please note: Stress Less is on hiatus until January 2023.

How many times has someone told you simply, ‘just relax’ when feeling stressed? Often people with a cancer diagnosis or a loved one of someone with cancer find it difficult to relax. Learn how to manage anxiety, worry and fear. Relaxation techniques activate the body’s relaxation response network.

Experience the benefits of practicing and sequencing regulated breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization and basic meditation in a supportive group environment. Leave the session feeling refreshed, calm, and focused.

Every Wednesday, year round, 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. at the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center.

Cancer Information and Support Groups are open to all, whether your treatment has yet to begin, you are presently in treatment or your treatment is completed.

The speaker for this event is Kathleen Lubanski, RN, NP.
