Comfort Measures

  • Eisenhower Family Birth Center
  • By Appointment Only

This class will focus on non-pharmacological ways for expectant families to reduce pain and find comfort during labor. This is an interactive class that will allow participants to discover and practice which positions, movements, relaxation, massage, and breathing techniques will be most helpful to them in labor. The techniques taught in this class can be useful for parents wanting to go without pain medication or those who are unsure or wanting to delay the use of pain medication.

Taught by a certified doula and childbirth educator, this 2.5 hour class will provide expectant parents and their partners with practical skills to use as they go through the birth process.

Usually held the third Saturday of each month, 1 to 3:30 pm (some months the date may vary, call to confirm prior to arrival). Registration required. Optional Stork Tour immediately follows.
