Aging My Way: Planning Ahead for Challenges and Opportunities That Come With Age

The Aging My Way presentation emphasizes the importance of planning ahead for the challenges and opportunities that come with aging. As people live longer and increasingly wish to remain in their own homes and communities, the program encourages individuals and families to have early conversations about healthcare, housing, transportation, finances, caregiving, and future care preferences. Proactive planning can help reduce stress, improve decision-making and support independence as needs change over time.
The presentation focuses on four key pillars of aging well: staying healthy, connected, protected, and independent. It highlights the importance of preventive healthcare, social engagement, fraud and elder abuse prevention, and access to community resources that help older adults maintain their quality of life. Through services such as Medicare counseling, caregiver support, advocacy, wellness programs, and resource referrals, the organization aims to help older adults age with dignity, confidence, and greater control over how and where they live.
Registration is required to secure a boxed lunch.
