Many women have demanding lives caring for family, professional commitments, volunteering, crisis management and just “keeping the railroad running” in general. Guess what’s often sacrificed along the way? – that woman’s health. Many of us find there aren’t enough hours in the day to do all of the things that need to be done for others, let alone ourselves.Life-Altering Spinal Surgery
"Dr. Limonadi gave me my life back."Robert Moon, 73, has been physically active all his life. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and during his 22 years on active duty, he exercised regularly and played sports. “They pushed fitness in the Navy,” he says.
When he retired from the military in 1994, he moved on to a career in information technology, maintaining his active lifestyle. Then, after retiring from his corporate career about ten years ago, he got involved in Palm Springs politics and was elected mayor of the city in 2015.
Toward the latter part of his four-year term, he started having back problems. He’d been rear-ended in a car accident in San Francisco about 15 years prior to this and the damage to his lower spine was coming home to roost.
The Autry Museum of the American West
His name is well known in the Coachella Valley, although many younger people today may not be familiar with the man behind the moniker. Gene Autry was one of the most popular figures in entertainment for several decades during Hollywood’s Golden Age. As “America’s Favorite Singing Cowboy” with his faithful horse Champion, he galloped through 93 movies, rounding up rustlers, chasing banditos and rescuing womenfolk from impending calamity, all while crooning a heartfelt tune for each situation. Audiences loved his affable, earnest nature and eagerly awaited new episodes of Gene Autry’s Melody Ranch radio program and later, his eponymous weekly television show. Autry also recorded more than 600 songs, many of which he wrote, and his recordings of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town have become enduring holiday classics. In addition to many hundreds of honors and awards, his professional achievements earned him no less than five stars on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame — one each for Radio, Recording, Motion Pictures, Television, and Live Theatre/Performance — an honor no other artist can claim.
