Jason Kauffman, DO, is a Board Certified in Family Medicine and is ANCHOR - Certified in High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA). His practice focuses on High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) and providing health care to the LGBTQ+ community and he is seeing patients at the Eisenhower Health Center at Rimrock in Palm Springs.

After completing medical school at Touro University in Vallejo, California, Dr. Kauffman completed a family medicine residency program at the University of Arizona, Tucson. He is also certified High Resolution Anoscopist, trained at the University of San Francisco Anal Neoplasia Clinic Research and Education Center managing the most complicated patients in the practice by taking them to surgery.

Dr. Kauffman had a "slow roll" into medicine, stating, "I first studied massage therapy and then acupuncture - becoming more and more interested in health and healing. I kept wanting to learn more so I went medical school." It was during rotations in medical school that he was first exposed to HRA at Callen Lourde Community Health Center in New York City. He was inspired by the physicians as well as the patient population. "I decided I wanted to give back to my community and pursued becoming an expert in HRA."

Since he sees patients repetitively, Dr. Kauffman seeks to build a trusting relationship with his patients. "I always want to get to the point with my patients where they feel comfortable to ask me anything. Since we are often discussing intimate and sensitive topics, it is important to have a trusting relationship."
