Jose Muniz Castro, MD, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon dedicated to providing expert, patient-centered care for conditions affecting the colon, rectum, and anus. With extensive training in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques using the Da Vinci Xi Robotic platform, he specializes in colorectal cancer treatment, as well as benign and malignant anorectal disorders.
Dr. Muniz Castro earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). He then completed his general surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital and further specialized with a fellowship in colorectal surgery at University of Texas, Houston.
