Dr. Abubakar completed his family medicine residency training at The Reading Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania. Since then, he has been a primary care physician in Pennsylvania and most recently in Mill Creek, Washington. He has over 18 years of experience as primary care physician.
It was through the influence of family members that Dr. Abubakar became interested in medicine. "My mother is also a physician," states Dr. Abubakar. "I remember going to the clinic with my mother from early childhood. I enjoyed interacting with patients and I never thought of anything else as a career but becoming a physician."
As Dr. Abubakar works with patients, he sees his role as a team member, assisting patients through the health care system. "I see my role as the consultant - providing you with medical information and recommendations to help you decide what you feel is best for your health and I am here to help you get to your goal".
