Dr. Bassanelli received his bachelor of science degree in biology from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, New York, before completing his masters at State University of New York in Buffalo. After receiving his medical degree from Albany Medical College of Union University, Dr. Bassanelli then completed his internship and residency at the University of California, Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute in adult general psychiatry.
After working for several years in New York, Dr. Bassanelli moved to the Coachella Valley, where he has worked in private practice as a psychiatric medical director and as a psychiatric consultant for the past 13 years. Dr. Bassanelli was also the psychiatric medical director at the Oasis Rehabilitation Center in Indio for nine years. He has been recognized among the Palm Springs Life Coachella Valley Top Doctors for six years.
