Support Services
It's hard to be a cancer patient. Whether you or someone you care about is a cancer patient, the journey from diagnosis through treatment and recovery is filled with many questions. At the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center, we offer guidance, support and understanding to help you cope every step of the way. Our cancer information and support groups and other support services are designed to meet the specific needs and concerns of cancer patients and their family and friends. We incorporate the latest information on cancer treatment and research into an array of programs to help strengthen the body, physically and emotionally. Our goal is to nurture hope and healing for our patients and their families.
We're here for you. The Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center is a resource for the entire community. You don't have to be a patient to take advantage of all that we offer. If you or someone close to you has cancer, we're here for you. We offer numerous support groups, nutrition counseling, genetic counseling, exercise classes, "Lunch & Learn With the Expert" sessions, lecture series, free Wig Bank and smoking cessation classes all conveniently located in the Cancer Center
Counseling
Sometimes, just talking with someone can be healing. Short-term individual and family counseling with trained oncology social workers is available to help you develop the emotional and social resources to deal with cancer.
Support Groups
A support group offers education, information and support. Participants can share personal experiences or just listen with other cancer patients and survivors. There is no fee to participate and new members are always welcome. We offer the following Information and Support Groups: Breast Cancer, Multiple Myeloma, Prostate Cancer and a support group in Spanish.

Cancer Lecture Series/Lunch & Learn with the Experts
Learning about cancer is an important part of treatment. That is why we offer ongoing lectures and educational presentations about treatment options and the latest in cancer prevention and detection. The Cancer Lecture Series is presented by a team of specialized physicians and health care professionals at the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center.
Lunch & Learn are informal roundtable discussions or conversations with a questions and answers segment with a health professional. Complimentary lunch is served. Reservations are required.
The Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center also hosts teleconferences, community meetings, cancer screenings and other workshops. In addition, the Center is actively involved in the community and works in cooperation with local, regional and national cancer organizations such as the Desert Cancer Foundation, Pendleton Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Go2 Lung Cancer Foundation, Zero Prostate Cancer, and theNational Cancer Institute.

Nutrition
Proper nutrition is vital to ensure your body has the nutrients it needs during treatment. Through nutritional counseling with a registered dietician trained in the special needs of cancer patients, you'll learn how to eat right to promote healing and good health.
Exercise for Cancer Patients Program
The Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center offers a variety of exercise classes just for cancer patients.
Healing Touch Massage
The Health Touch Massage program offers a 30 minute chair massage for cancer patients and their loved ones. Offered at the Lucy Curci Cancer Center by appointment only.
