- From 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Cardiac catheterization is a procedure that assists physicians in checking for heart disease, how well your heart muscle is working and, if necessary, place a stent if a blockage is discovered. Join Monica Colgan, RN, and Wade Little, RN, for an overview of preprocedural, intraprocedural and postprocedural cardiac catheterization processes. Learn about the most common procedures - coronary angiogram, left heart catheterization, right heart catheterization, TAVR and Mitraclips. See first-hand some of the equipment and technologies used in a cardiac cath lab. Stay for opportunities to ask questions not addressed by the presentation.
Attend in-person at the Annenberg Health Sciences Building, which will be immediately followed by the monthly meeting of Mended Hearts of the Coachella Valley, or virtually.
