Eisenhower Health Recognized in Healthcare Equality Index

Eisenhower Health has once again earned recognition as a High Performer in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Healthcare Equality Index (HEI), marking the eighth consecutive survey in which the organization has been recognized. The HEI evaluates health care facilities’ commitment to equitable and inclusive care for LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and employees.

Created in 2007 in response to survey data that showed LGBTQ+ individuals faced discrimination from medical personnel, the Healthcare Equality Index serves as a national benchmark for health care institutions striving to provide a welcoming environment for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Eisenhower Health’s ongoing dedication to upholding these values underscores its mission to provide patient-centered care in an inclusive setting.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized in the Healthcare Equality Index for the eighth time,” says Martin Massiello, President and Chief Executive Officer, Eisenhower Health. “Our commitment to equality, inclusivity and compassionate care is deeply embedded in the culture of Eisenhower Health. This recognition reflects the hard work of our dedicated staff, who ensure that every patient and employee feels respected, valued and supported.”
