  • Summer Blood Drives Planned

LifeStream, a non-profit comprehensive blood center serving more than 80 medical facilities in Southern California since 1951, reports that the blood supply still remains critically low in the Coachella Valley.  To help meet the demand for blood, two blood drives have been planned.

    • The first of the two blood drives will be held on Wednesday, June 29 at the Bloodmobile in parking lot G-1 near the Joel M. Hirschberg, MD Building from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. [idx="3994"]
    • If you are unable to donate then, a second drive will be held on Wednesday, August 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Annenberg Health Sciences Building. [idx="3993"]

Those wishing to donate blood should be sure to drink plenty of fluids and bring photo identification. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged. Make your appointment today by calling 1-800-879-4484, or by visiting LStream.org
