Specialties
- Family Medicine
Dr. Minot came to family medicine after retiring from a career as an electrical engineer and defense executive. When asked "Why medicine?”— he answers that engineering and medicine involve basically the same skills: plumbing and wiring. His role model remains his own primary care physician, which he and his family have had for over 30 years.Family medicine as a specialty allows him to have that same kind of long-term relationship with his own patients and their families that he has valued for so long.He is most interested in geriatric medicine, including the biochemical, musculoskeletal, neurological, and cognitive changes we go through as we age.
When not carrying his stethoscope, he enjoys mountain and road biking, surfing, diving, and trail running.
