Ulysses Rosas, MD, a native of the Coachella Valley, is thrilled to be back home to practice medicine. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University, he attended Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship program in Gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
As a child, he was heavily influenced by a local orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Robert Sullivan. “Through the care and compassion Dr. Sullivan showed me as a patient, and later on through his mentorship, I knew I wanted to become a doctor,” states Dr. Rosas.
Dr. Rosas’ research and clinical experiences during medical school lead him to specialize in gastroenterology. “The field of gastroenterology provides a great mix of patient interactions and clinical experiences. Including providing preventative healthcare, managing both chronic and acute diseases, and making therapeutic changes through various endoscopic procedures.”
With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Rosas strives to understand not only his patient’s medical diagnosis, but also how their GI health affects their quality of life. By building a trusting relationship with patients, Dr. Rosas is able to get patients back to living their best lives.
