Ricardo G. Cacdac, MD
Specialties
- General Surgery
- Colon/Rectal Surgery
Dr. Cacdac was originally influenced by an uncle who was a physician – seeing how doctors can make a positive difference in someone’s life. “From an early age, I knew I wanted to help people,” states Dr. Cacdac. “Hearing my uncle talk about his practice of neuro-surgery was a huge motivator for me. I knew that medicine was the career I was to pursue.”
While in medical school, Dr. Cacdac was exposed to all different types of specialties and surgery caught his interest. “I was drawn to the reality of patients with an acute or longer term medical situation, and through surgery that condition could be corrected, providing the patient with renewed health and a better quality of life,” remarks Dr. Cacdac. “I get great satisfaction in seeing instantaneous results, knowing my patients will be healthier and live better lives.” During his residency, he decided general surgery was too broad and decided to sub-specialize in colon-rectal surgery, which provided him with a more focused and specialized practice.
“Overall, I want to make a difference in people’s lives,” states Dr. Cacdac. “I am fortunate to have selected a career that allows me to do just that – every day.”
Dr. Cacdac sees patients in Rancho Mirage at the Eisenhower Health Surgery Specialty Clinic in the Eisenhower Salta Health Center.
