Board Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine, Brom Beckerman, MD, received his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his residency and a fellowship program in cardiology at State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. He completed a second fellowship program in invasive cardiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Raised in a medical family, Dr. Beckerman was heavily influenced and encouraged toward a medical career. “It seemed as if I always wanted to become a doctor,” states Dr. Beckerman. “In medical school and residency rotations of subspecialties, cardiology always interested me and seemed like a natural path. I have never had second thoughts about becoming a cardiologist.“
When considering his patients, Dr. Beckerman’s approach to patient care is simple and direct. “I take care of and treat my patients the way in which I would expect to be cared for,” states Dr. Beckerman. His interests within the cardiology specialty include preventive care, women’s cardiac care, diagnostics and non-invasive procedures.
