Toni L. Long, MD

Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, ToniL. Long, MD, offers more than 20 years of experience providing health care for women. Dr. Long specializes in Gynecology at Eisenhower Women’s Health Center, located at Eisenhower George and Julia Argyros Health Center in La Quinta. Specific interests include menopause, hormone replacement,sexuality/sexual dysfunction and adolescent gynecology.

Dr. Long is a native of Southern California. She completed her undergraduate work in biological sciences at the University of California at Irvine. She attended medical school at George Washington School of Medicine, Washington, D.C. During medical school, Dr. Long naturally gravitated toward the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was awarded the Endocrinology Prize for research, given in recognition of her commendable knowledge in female endocrinology and steroid chemistry. She has also served as president of the Obstetrical Honor Society.

She returned to Southern California for her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Following residency, Dr. Long went into private practice in General obstetrics/Gynecology in Santa Monica.

Because of her expertise and warm, caring manner, Dr. Long enjoys many lasting bonds with her patients. As gynecological discussions with patients can be very sensitive, Dr. Long’s disarming approach to women’s health puts her patients at ease, enabling them to discuss their health care concerns. “When a patient feels comfortable with their doctor as their ally, we can communicate more effectively,” states Dr. Long.

Dr. Long resides in La Quinta with her husband and daughter. She enjoys keeping herself active with hiking and ‘boot camp.’
