Carol L. Trippitelli, MD

Carol Trippitelli, MD, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She treats adults and adolescents ages 15 and older at Eisenhower Behavioral Health in Rancho Mirage. After earning her undergraduate degree at Rice University, Houston, TX, Dr. Trippitelli received her medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. She then complete a residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. She also completed a clinical fellowship program in Eating Disorders at the The Center for Eating Disorders/University of Maryland, Towson, MD.

Dr. Trippitelli has strong experience in the treatment of all general psychiatric disorders with particular expertise in mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, life transitions (including retirement) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Treatment of teens and young adults and providing early intervention for all of the above disorders is something that she has both a particular interest in and significant experience with.  

In approaching her patient's care, Dr. Trippitelli states, "My approach is to provide a thorough evaluation and to make recommendations for treatment with an individualized balance of medication, psychotherapy and lifestyle factors - such as exercise and nutrition." She works closely with patients to follow through on their treatment plan in order to optimize their outcome and quality of life.  
                           
In her free time she enjoys travel, exercise, downhill skiing, most outdoor activities and cultural events.
