Spiritual Care / Chaplaincy Services
Eisenhower Health has a vibrant and growing Spiritual Care Department which utilizes Staff Chaplains and Volunteer Chaplain Assistants to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of patients, their loved ones, and Eisenhower staff.
Eisenhower Chaplains are trained to provide care to those of any spiritual/religious tradition, as well as to those who do not identify with or practice any tradition.
Interfaith services are available Monday-Friday in our Chapel on the 2nd Floor of the Washington Building of the hospital.
In addition to inpatient (hospital) care, Eisenhower’s Spiritual Care Department is actively establishing a pilot program to provide outpatient (ambulatory) spiritual care, as well as a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program to train professional chaplains.
Requests for Spiritual Care for hospital patients should be directed through their Nurse, asking that a Consult Order for Pastoral Care be submitted. However, patients, their loved ones and staff can also contact the Spiritual Care Department directly.
- Chaplains are available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- For assistance after hours, ask for the nursing supervisor.
The Spiritual Care Department can be reached by calling 760-773-1815.
