Eisenhower Affiliated Entities
Beyond the hospital and numerous health care clinics, Eisenhower Health also includes Annenberg Center for Health Sciences, an internationally renowned center of learning offering leading-edge educational programs for health care professionals and the public, and the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center, a center dedicated to the goal of its founders, Frank and Barbara Sinatra, of breaking the cycle of child abuse and providing counseling for its victims. (While located on the Eisenhower campus, the Betty Ford Center, recognized as a premier treatment center in the field of substance abuse, is not an entity of Eisenhower Health.)
Annenberg Center
The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences (annenberg.net) is a public benefit corporation dedicated to the advancement of medicine and public health through educational programming and national forums. As an accredited provider of continuing education for health care professionals. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and numerous other health care professionals have earned more than a quarter-million certificates of credit by participating in activities offered by the Center.
The Annenberg Center provides conference and meeting services in the Annenberg Health Sciences Building at Eisenhower which can be accessed from John Sinn Road off of Country Club Drive in Rancho Mirage, CA.
The Annenberg Health Sciences Building at Eisenhower includes a 485-seat auditorium, technology-based classrooms, a state-of-the-art videoconferencing center and the Art of Medicine Collection. The facility hosts thousands of Coachella Valley residents each year for educational programs, support group meetings, exercise classes, health screenings, graduation ceremonies, business and governmental meetings, and special events. Area physicians, healthcare providers and the public also attend regularly scheduled education events in this world-class facility.
Barbara Sinatra Children's Center
Internationally recognized as an advocate for abused children, the non-profit Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center (barbarasinatrachildrenscenter.org) is committed to Barbara and Frank Sinatra’s pledge that victims of sexual, physical and emotional abuse receive the care, respect and counseling they deserve regardless of a family’s ability to pay for services. Through a variety of comprehensive programs and working closely with the District Attorney’s Office, Child Protective Services and other agencies, the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center continues to play a leadership role in restoring hope, healing and trust to victims of abuse. Through its web site, www.sinatracenter.org, booklets, outreach programs and a speakers bureau, the Sinatra Center assists in addressing the issues of abuse detection, prevention and counseling.
