Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Natasha Creighton MD, has experience providing quality medical care to a diverse adult and geriatric population.
Dr. Creighton completed her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and molecular cell biology at the University of California, San Diego before attending medical school at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Creighton completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY, where she also spent three years as Internal Medicine Attending, Associate Professor.
Fluent in Spanish and German, Dr. Creighton has taught high school science and served as a volunteer translator at a medical clinic in Mexico.
"Growing up in a medical family - my father was an immunologist and allergist - I spent a lot of time working in his office during summers. That exposure, along with being interested in science scholastically, caused me to initially pursue a career in teaching science. Medicine gave the opportunity to teach as well as develop close, personal relationships with people," states Dr. Creighton. "Specializing in Internal Medicine was a natural for me as it truly allows you to establish long-term relationships with people for years. Other specialties did not offer the relational aspect that I desired."
A strong believer in preventive medicine, Dr. Creighton's approach to patient care is all about relationship. "I see patient care as a partnership, working as a team with my patients. It is essential to create a treatment plan that they understand and support versus my trying to force medical care on patients."
